MOKI RUMINSKI
Moments partly encapsulated, Moki Ruminski (b. 1993) is forever finding ways to share intimate blinks of time and curious thoughts while still giving space to let them grow. Also sharing expressions of unacknowledged weight we all might be carrying in this world. Or maybe a simple goof that caught us inconveniently off guard. Whatever it may be, his hope is to partly share these moments with you.
Rooted in Burlington, WI with ties all around the midwest, Moki is creating / printing zines and booklets that acknowledge feelings, our interrelatedness, and deep dives into sub cultures.
Native to southeast WI, he obtained a BS in Conservation and Environmental Science from UW - Milwaukee. To have a diverse, authentic understanding of how the natural world is viewed by society, Moki sought out positions in multiple settings from the research department of the WI DNR, a prairie restoration company in Minnesota, service businesses engaging directly with the public, and his own garden design / stewardship business.
The last eight years through thick and thin, prescribed burns and driftless downpours, he has carried a camera by his side.
